- ProFish is a fishing companion app that combines AI species identification (AI Fish ID), AI catch-location prediction (CatchMaster), and AI bite-timing prediction (FishCast) with maps, a catch log, fishing regulations, and a community leaderboard.
- What platforms is ProFish available on?
- ProFish is available on Android via Google Play and on iOS via the App Store.
- What languages does ProFish support?

Features
- What is FishCast?
- FishCast is ProFish's AI prediction engine. It analyzes weather, tide predictions, barometric pressure, water temperature, and solunar theory to produce an hour-by-hour bite-probability score with species-specific predictions. Free accounts get a 1-day forecast window; Pro accounts get 16 days.
- How many map layers does ProFish have?
- ProFish has 21 total map layers: 10 available on the Free tier and 11 on Pro, including a Pro-only Fish Finder AI hotspot layer, depth contours and bathymetry, water temperature, ocean currents, and offline map downloads.
- How accurate is AI Fish ID, and does it work offline?
- AI Fish ID's database covers 400+ freshwater and saltwater species worldwide, with an on-device model that recognizes 150 of those species without internet access for the camera model itself. However, the full AI Fish ID feature, including linked regulation lookups, requires an internet connection and does not work fully offline. Pro accounts get 5 successful identifications per day; failed or unrecognized attempts don't count against the limit. AI Fish ID is not included on the Free tier.
- What is CatchMaster?
- CatchMaster is a prediction tool that returns a list of fish species likely to be encountered at the angler's current location or any saved/searched spot, for the current season and time of day, each with an estimated encounter percentage. Users manually select water type: saltwater, freshwater, or brackish. Unlike AI Fish ID, which identifies a fish already caught, CatchMaster predicts what you might catch at a location.
- What fishing regulations does ProFish cover?
- ProFish covers fishing regulations for 61 countries and 700+ regional zones, including season dates, bag limits, size limits, and license requirements. Regulation lookups are linked to AI Fish ID results, connecting an identified species to its applicable local rule.
- Does ProFish support smart gear or Bluetooth devices?
- Yes. ProFish supports Bluetooth pairing for compatible sonar units, bite alarms, and cameras. Devices pair directly from the app, and paired-device data such as sonar readings surfaces inside the relevant ProFish screens.
- How many catches and fishing spots can I log for free?
- The Free tier lets you log up to 20 catches per month and save up to 15 fishing spots. Pro removes both limits.
- Does ProFish have tournaments?
- Not yet. Tournaments are not currently available in ProFish — in-app messaging states the feature will launch once the community has grown enough to support it.

- How much does ProFish Pro cost?
- ProFish Pro costs $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year, which saves 37% versus the monthly price. Prices may vary by region per Apple and Google store pricing.
- How do I cancel my ProFish subscription?
- ProFish Pro is billed and auto-renewed through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel your subscription there at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Does ProFish Pro have a free trial?
- Yes. ProFish Pro includes a 7-day free trial on a user's first subscription.
Privacy & Data
- Is my data private on ProFish?
- ProFish stores account email/display name, catch data, GPS coordinates (only with permission granted), device info, anonymized crash reports, and subscription tier on Firebase (Google Cloud) in the EU. Named processors RevenueCat, Mapbox, Sentry, Open-Meteo, and NOAA/WorldTides support subscriptions, maps, crash reporting, weather, and tides respectively. - How do I delete my ProFish account?
- Account and data deletion is handled by request to support@profish.app. There is no self-service in-app deletion flow.
- What is the minimum age to use ProFish?
- The minimum age to use ProFish is 13, or 16 in the EEA.
